Overview

Joel Pajarito (born 1984) is a Kewa (Santo Domingo) artist working in tufa-cast silver — pins and pendants with petroglyph designs and stone sets. He is the brother of Cordell Pajarito and son of Anthony Lovato, and was a Goodman Fellow in 2008. His mark is "JOEL," with SDP for Santo Domingo Pueblo, or worked as part of the cast.

A note on the name: our scan of the entry header prints "PaJanto," but the corpus entry for his brother Cordell — "Brother of Joel Pajarito" — confirms the surname Pajarito.
