Overview

Veronica Poblano (born 1951) is a Zuni artist active since the 1970s, working gold and silver — modern sculpture, mosaic inlay, figural cartoon characters and fabricated jewelry. She was a 1993 SWAIA Fellow. Hougart cross-references her under the name Veronica Nastacio.

The corpus sets her in a deep Zuni lineage: award-winning daughter of Leo Poblano, mother of Dylan Poblano, and great-granddaughter of Teddy Weahkee. Her documented marks: A. & V. N.; Veronica in script; and Veronica Poblano in etched script.
