Phillip White — Navajo silversmith hallmark namecard

Name-card placeholder — hallmark imagery to follow

Overview

Phillip White is a Navajo silversmith active since the 1970s, working shadow box and leaf appliqué.

His work may be marked for Atkinson Trading Company. His documented mark is P. WHITE. (He is distinct from the other White silversmiths documented nearby in the corpus — M. White, Orville White and Walter White Bear — none of whom his entry relates to him.)

Collector's caution: Phillip White's work may be marked for Atkinson Trading Company — a piece may carry the shop's mark rather than, or alongside, his own P. WHITE. Read any shop mark together with the maker's mark before attribution.
