Jock Favour — Anglo silversmith hallmark namecard

Name-card placeholder — hallmark imagery to follow.

Overview

Jock Favour (born 1947) is an Anglo silversmith — a non-Native maker of Southwestern-style work — active since about the 1970s. Hougart documents classic hand-wrought ingot work, stamp- and file-work, set stones, inlay, and some mosaic work. He is the brother of Charlie Favour.

The entry records that Favour's first mark, in use for more than forty years, is a variation of the Egyptian Eye of Horus; the qualifiers around that passage are garbled in our scan, so we state no more than that. Another damaged passage appears to tie an "LL" to collaborator and bead worker Lee Louden (not yet in the directory), but the text is too broken there to read with confidence.

Collector's caution: The mark section of this entry is heavily garbled in our scan. The marks we can state are FAVOUR and J F — the latter in very small letters, an initials stamp that is easy to misread. Treat the finer qualifiers (the Eye of Horus reading, the LL element) as hedged until checked against a physical copy of the book.
