Herbert Joe (born 1956) is a Navajo silversmith known for a broad technical range spanning geometric and floral designs, channel inlay, storyteller work, stamp work, leaf and appliqué in both silver and gold. He is a multiple award winner.
Channel inlay is a signature Navajo technique in which precisely cut stones are fitted flush into recessed silver channels. Storyteller jewelry depicts narrative scenes drawn from Pueblo and broader Southwestern traditions. The corpus slug "herbertjoe" reflects an OCR period-for-space artifact in the source scan; the correct name is Herbert Joe.
