Harvey Austin Begay (1938–2009) was a Navajo silversmith active from approximately 1950 to 2009. The Hougart record documents his work in silver, gold, and some tufa casting. Harvey Begay was the son of master silversmith and designer Kenneth Begay, and worked briefly at the White Hogan alongside his father in jewelry silversmithing and design before establishing his own shop, The Navajo Craftsman, in Steamboat Springs, Colorado. He and his wife operated the shop from 1972 to 1979. His design style and creative motifs are frequently described as outgrowths of his father's strong influence.

In 2005, Begay was named an Arizona Indian Living Treasure. He was a multiple award winner.
